Nesto Pellos
My father was a big boxing fan and did a little himself. He had my brother and I in the garage boxing at a very young age. Then saw some Bruce Lee movies and all the 80’s martial art movies like The Karate Kid, Ninja Turtles, Bloodsport, Kickboxer, etc. Wanted to do more than just box so tried out a few other martial arts and finally walked into a Muay Thai/Boxing Gym. All real fighters and no egos. No separation between Muay Thai guys and the boxers. Everyone training and sparring with everyone. Been in love with Muay Thai ever since.
Simply because I love it. I love to teach my expression of Muay Thai and Inlove to watch the light bulb turn on when a student “gets it”! Plus, Muay Thai has taught me so many life lessons outside the gym that I cannot explain and I really want to create a way to give that back to the community especially to the younger generation.
My favorite client/student are the ones who have a cerebral approach to the art. The greatest fighters out there all agree that intelligent fighter are the better fighters. Fight IQ plus hard work and conditioning always produces top level Martial Artists.
I have several inspirations for different reasons. My friend and coach Dany Bill for his extreme fight IQ and his Martix like abilities when he was the top in the world. Coaches like Kru Bryan Popejoy for his ability to see and translate the fight game to his athletes in a way that makes other coaches seem rudimentary. American Legend Kevin Ross for waking what sounds like the hardest road ever walked by a US Nak Muay and never giving up.
I hold the title of Kru Yai under Nai Khanom Tom Association as well as Black Tiger Black Band under Kaewsamrit. Competed in Boxing, Muay Thai, Pankration, and MMA.
I have been coaching since around 2009. Started with just my kids and friends strictly to competition then started doing Group classes about 6yrs-8yrs ago. Originally started Muay Thai in 1993.
