Ana Juarez
I started training Jiu Jitsu because I always wanted to learn some type of self defense. One time I saw some guys doing arm bars which at the time I didn’t know what they were called but the way they were doing the submission seemed really cool and from there I knew I had to learn BJJ.
I started teaching as soon as I received my Instructor Certification Under the academy I was in at the time. I was a purple belt back in 2015. Since then I really enjoyed teaching the adults since it helped me understand certain techniques better or stuff that I was missing in my jiu jitsu game. Now teaching kids/coaching for a while has really made me a more patient person and has been really fun helping the lil ones become stronger and more prepared for life. My favorite type of client to coach is anyone who wants to learn something new. Doesn’t matter if it’s a kid or an adult.
I have been training since I was 18 back in Late 2009 and I am 31 now. So 13 years of training on and off. I have been teaching/coaching for about 7 years
I am now a Brown Belt. I used to compete in a lot of tournaments when I was white and blue belt but my old instructor kept my medals so I don’t have dates or names for those achievements, only 2011 American Nationals: Gold.
